Overview

Orleans Energy Ltd. (“Orleans” or the “Company”) is a public company actively engaged in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas within the province of Alberta. The Company’s head office is located in Calgary, Alberta and its common shares are listed and traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the trading symbol “OEX”. As at August 21, 2008, there were 45.78 million common shares issued and outstanding.

Orleans commenced active oil and gas operations in January 2005 and is committed to maximizing value for its shareholders through successful drilling of internally-generated prospects supplemented with strategic and focused property and/or corporate acquisitions.
